Monkey’s of Tamarindo, Costa Rica

You just cannot get used to monkeys. It's really quite something to see them free in their natural environment. You can see monkeys around town in the trees near the beaches of Tamarindo. Taking a  zip line tour is one of the best ways

to view them and get photographs. Costa Rica has 4 native monkey species – the Central American Squirrel Monkey, White Headed Capuchin, Geoffroys Spider Monkey and the Mantled Howler Monkey.  The Mantled Howler and White Headed Capuchin are the species you are most likely to see….While the Central American Squirrel Monkey has a very limited range. The only place to see all these monkey's in one place is in the Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula. The photos below are from the Tamarindo area and Playa Flamingo.
